FAQ about Halloween Hoot (Oct 22, 11-3 with a rain date of Oct 23, 11-3)

  • What are wristbands useful for?
    Wristbands give you unlimited access to crafts, games, bouncy houses and haunted hallway. Hayride and bigger crafts (like paint a pumpkin), if available, will be limited though. 
  • Where can we purchase wristbands?
    Wristbands can be purchased at www.halloweenhoot.org under Purchase Tickets.
  • When will we receive our wristbands?
    Wristbands will be given at the door for all the pre-purchases.
  • Can I purchase a wristband at the door? 
    No.
  • When will wristband sales stop?
    At midnight before the event. So, Friday, Oct 21 midnight but if we have to use the rain date then the wristband sales will continue till Saturday, Oct 22 midnight.
  • What are individual tickets for?
    All edibles- ice cream, baked goods, snow cones. Coffee & Popcorn (if available). You can access activities-games, crafts etc also with individual tickets. 
  • How many tickets for each activity?
    It will be mentioned next to the activity and we will communicate a few days before the event. In general, it will be 1-2 tickets per item/activity.
  • Are wristbands or tickets needed as an entry to the event?
    No. But there won’t be any wristbands available at the door. Only individual tickets can be bought at the door.
  • Do adults need wristbands or tickets too?
    No.
  • Can I pay by credit card at the door for the tickets? 
    Yes, we will accept cash, checks written to BRS PTO or credit cards.
  • Where will I park at the event?
    There will be security guiding the car traffic. In general, once the north parking lot is full, you will be directed to the south side. Parking is free. 
  • Is this a drop-off event? Can I drop off my older kids?
    No. Families are responsible for their children. Children should have their family or friends’ adult supervision. 
  • Will I get a refund if I cannot come on the day of the event?
    No. Generally, we won’t be issuing refunds but please contact us directly at brsptoinfo@gmail.com and we can discuss. 
  • I am qualified for free/reduced lunch. Do I get discounted or free tickets for the event?
    You should be reached out by the north office with the free tickets or reach out to them after October 15. This is private information and the school cannot share it with the PTO.
  • Is this a public event and can I bring my friends with me?
    Yes, this is our biggest fundraiser, so please feel free to bring your family and friends.
  • Where will be the activities located?
    All activities will be on the school grounds and some in the building, details will be communicated after Oct 15. Please keep an eye on the PTO emails.
  • Are costumes encouraged? 
    Yes, but please be advised to wear and have kids wear school aged kids appropriate costumes.
  • What are the options for lunch?
    We will have food trucks on site. Food is not included in the wristbands. Confirmed trucks till now are: SilverSands Pizza, Taco Truck, Sea Food Truck. Food will be probably both cash and credit card but we can update it after checking in with the vendors. 
  • If I win a silent auction item, where should I pick up my items at the end of the event?
    All silent auction winners should pick up the items from the school during the event. Silent auction pick up will be outside the cafeteria. Hours will be announced in the last week but will be during the Hoot hours.
  • I want to sponsor. Whom should I contact & what are the sponsorship tiers?
